Megan Fox has found her next role: author.
The 37-year-old announced she is releasing a book of poetry called Pretty Boys Are Poisonous, sharing an image of the front cover which depicts a mouth biting a snake on Instagram August 8. And while reflecting on the healing process of writing, she explained what the collection means to her.
"These poems were written in an attempt to excise the illness that had taken root in me because of my silence," Megan wrote over a red background. "I've spent my entire life keeping the secrets of men, my body aches from carrying the weight of their sins."
And of what she hopes the book will bring its readers, the Jennifer's Body actress noted, "My freedom lives in these pages and I hope that my words can inspire others to take back their happiness and their identity buy using their voice to illuminate what's been buried, but not forgotten, in the darkness."
She captioned her post, "I wrote a book," alongside a broken heart emoji, sharing the book is currently available for preorder before its November 7 release date.
Megan's comment section was filled with fans expressing their excitement for the collection—including her twin flame himself.
Machine Gun Kelly wrote on the post alongside a fire emoji, "Proud of you."
Her forthcoming book is not the first time Megan has gotten candid about aspects of her personal life. Just a few months ago, the Transformers alum opened up about her struggles with body image.
"I have body dysmorphia—I don't ever see myself the way other people see me," she shared in a video for Sports Illustrated Swimsuit 2023 issue in May. "There's never a point in my life where I loved my body, never, ever."
And she shared that these feelings were not new, but rather something that stems back to her childhood.
"When I was little, that was an obsession I had of but I should look this way," Megan remembered. "And why I had an awareness of my body that young I'm not sure. The journey of loving myself is going to be never-ending."
And the concept of being aware of what history one's body holds is something she has passed onto her partner, MGK.
"[Megan's] helped me realize that you can't bury your trauma," the rapper shared with GQ Style in 2021. "No one knows anything about me. They don't know how deep that rabbit hole goes with my childhood and with everything that my body has stored in itself."
