While Donna Martin nearly didn't graduate, Finn McDermott had no trouble marking a major milestone.
As Tori Spelling and ex Dean McDermott's 11-year-old son celebrated his elementary school graduation, the Beverly Hills, 90210 star shared a heartfelt tribute to her new middle-schooler.
"And, just like that I have a 5th grade graduate…" she wrote on Instagram June 11. "Finn Davey I'm so proud of you! Bye elementary school and hello middle school. I love you chat!"
Tori shared a photo of her and Finn posing in front of 2024 balloons with the graduate looking casual in shorts and a baseball tee. But as the misSPELLING podcast host is well aware of the negativity that can happen online, she was quick to let followers know why Finn wasn't more dressed up for the occasion.
"Disclaimer to the haters," Tori added. "Dress code was shorts FYI bc they had student/teacher kickball aka sports day right b4."
The 51-year-old—who also shares children Liam, 17, Stella, 15, Hattie, 12, and Beau, 7 with Dean—has never been afraid of getting candid about every part of her life, including how she and the family are doing since filing for divorce from the former Chopped Canada host in March after nearly 18 years of marriage.
"The kids are doing well and Dean is doing well," Tori told E! News in April. "We're all hanging in."
She added, "We'll always be a family. Whether there's a title on it or not so, it's just time to move forward."
In fact, Tori and Dean have continued to show their support for one another, with Tori recently liking Dean's post going Instagram official with girlfriend Lily Calo. And as Dean explained in the comments, of course the So Notorious alum was going to be excited for him.
"She is a highly evolved and compassionate loving person, which is a lot more then [sic] I can say for the trolls commenting on this post," the 57-year-old replied to those being negative in his comments. "Tori has a boyfriend. People get divorced and are better apart them [sic] together. That's life. I'll pray for happiness for all the haters."
